  • In seventh grade students will focus on author's purpose in reading and continue to develop their vocabulary knowledge; while in writing they will develop their craft to effectively communicate their ideas through expository and/or persuasive writing.

  • We will continue to analyze and synthesize literary and informational text paying closer to author's purpose and style. In writing students will be expected to write thesis statements supported with well developed paragraphs using the Six Traits of writing.
