Olympic Peninsula Transition Math Project is part of a statewide, K-16 initiative (Transition Math Project) focused on developing and implementing a clear consensus set of standards defining what students need to know and be able to do to be ready for college-level math. Developed with the support of the West Sound Education Leadership Council, the OP TMP will support the development of a regional, cross-sector learning community focused on intentional implementation of the College Readiness Standards and Grades 11/12 GLEs.

OP TMP Goal:

Increase the percentage of high school graduates prepared for college entry-level mathematics .

OP TMP Objectives:

• Develop cross-sector communities of practice focused on improving mathematics teaching and learning.
• Implement the College Readiness Standards and 11/12 GLEs using research based best practices in mathematics instruction.
• Increase use and understanding of data to inform instructional decisions.

• Increase Community awareness of the College Readiness Standards and the importance of mathematics in all career areas.
