Contemporary Issues is a 2 semester course for seniors. Both semesters must be passed to graduate. The first semester focuses on national issues such as discrimination, political spectrum, constitutional and issues involving such topics as the death penalty, abortion rights, etc. The second semester involves international issues, cultures, world religions, conflicts in the world, and other global problems.
American Studies History is a class which covers events in U.S. History according to units, which is connected to American Studies English.
