• Geometry is the study of visual patterns. From the reading of the text, practice with the tools, and the guidance of a teacher, the geometry student will study a wide scope of topics. This course, in an integrated fashion, grows from the first definitions of geometry into studies of conditionals, angles, polygons, triangles, transformations, congruence, measurement, similarity, and trigonometry.
  • Students will learn to program Web sites encompassing text, graphics, tables, and multimedia. A variety of hands-on projects will help the student learn the “Language” of the World Wide Web including HTML and an introduction to web programming technologies.
  • Students will learn the history, function, and maintenance of operating systems. They will be expected to control operating systems at the command line and the graphical interface. For those interested in a career that includes computers, this course is highly recommended. Specifically, this is not meant to teach students how to use a computer but how the computer operates “under the hood”. For example the assumption is made that a student knows how to save a file in Microsoft Word, in the class we learn how the computer actually saves the file.
  • Generally the course will cover personal finance and application of statistics.
